After the success of BTS’ chart breaking mini album ‘Love Yourself’, BTS come back with yet another hit packed mini album titled ‘Mullet Yourself’. RM opens up about the meaning of the concept. 

“I think our new concept is really important to all of the members as well as the fans. This topic has become more talked about in the recent years and we stayed quiet about it up until now because we are aware of how controversial it is. Today’s youth is pressured to look and dress a certain way and teens as well as us, young adults, aren’t able to express themselves due to the prejudices the society has. There are public figures who have tried to stand up against these stereotypes and we also decided to use our wide audience to spread this important message. Mullet isn’t just a hairstyle. It’s a way to express yourself. It holds a special meaning to each individual and it shouldn’t be so harshly criticised. Me and my members strongly believe in self expression and thats why we all decided to wear a mullet for this comeback and each of our hairstyles represents our heart. We understand that it was a dangerous move and know about the possibility of our own fans being angry at us but we also know that we helped many people who are pro-mullet to be more confident and stand by their beliefs.”
